Double Screen, 2003
Installation, variable dimensions
Milk; milk-drop mechanism; light projector; steel plinth (100 x 35 x 35 cm); floor video-projection on talcum powder (300 x 300 cm)

Suspended by cables from the ceiling, a video camera records the drops of milk that fall and quickly dissolve into a platform of milk. This movement is barely perceived, due to the regular, silent, slow paced drops that can only be seen from close up. In parallel, located a few metres away, the viewer can follow ‘live’ the ‘same’ event as the one that is being projected (duplicated and enlarged) on the gallery floor.
