Nearly Midnight, 2003
Installation: ice, steel, light, sound
2 x (40 X 40 cm)

Nearly Midnight is an installation composed of two blocks mounted vertically, incorporating light and audio loop. While the two shapes that compose the work are essentially identical, the nature of the materials used is radically different (ice and steel). Therefore, as time progresses and the ice melts, each element in the work becomes an isolated event. The audio in the installation consists of the sound of water dripping.
The work was exhibited at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto as part of my Sculpture graduation show.
